State statutory compensation for work injury and occupational disease. Each jurisdiction has its own scheme, rates and dispute path. Not a Centrelink payment.

State formula — not a single national rate

Who it is for

Workers injured in the course of employment, according to the state Act that applies.

Statutory work-injury insurance. Private income protection often offsets weekly WorkCover. Super TPD is a different decision-maker again.

ISSA (1 January 2024) — Design (ISSA 2024)

State and territory workers’ compensation. Generally at least 95% of reference earnings for temporary incapacity; the formula varies by jurisdiction. Employer-funded. Not a Centrelink payment.

Injury or disease arising out of employment, as defined in that Act.
