A PBS listing means a medicine/item is in the PBS schedule under specified rules. It does not mean the medicine is clinically appropriate for you, that every prescription is subsidised, or that no patient contribution applies. Restrictions, authority requirements, prescriber rules and the applicable programme still matter.
